Southeast Minnesota Toys for Tots is already out shopping for gifts for kids who are less fortunate in our area. The other day they had a shopping event at Fleet Farm in Rochester and they were able to purchase a TON of toys!

After everything was rung up the grand total was 260 toys, which is amazing! The receipt is crazy long. It has to be at least 6 feet which means you could use it to make sure you're staying physically distant.

Based on videos and photos that Southeast Minnesota Toys for Tots shared on their Facebook page they bought all sorts of fun gifts including tennis rackets, microscopes, baseball mitts, backpacks, games, so many cool gifts!

In one of the videos from the shopping event the other day, they estimated that the total at the end of the evening would be about $4,500 in toys. But, like they say in the Facebook video, that's just a drop in the bucket. They're anticipating it reaching about $60,000 in toys this year. That's a ton of toys for kids who may otherwise not get a gift over the holidays.

Lots of people helped out with the shopping event the other night at Fleet Farm in Rochester. According to a Facebook post from Southeast Minnesota Toys for Tots, American Waterworks and Fleet Farm were matching all donations up to $1,500.

There are more Toys for Tots shopping events coming up later in the holiday season so keep an eye out on their Facebook page HERE.
