Owatonna Woman Killed in Head-On Collision

A head-on collision on Highway 14 claimed the life of an Owatonna woman Saturday afternoon.

The State Patrol reports an eastbound freightliner operated by 29-year-old Hashim Lencha Siddiq of Blaine attempted to pass a vehicle and then collided head-on with a westbound vehicle operated by 58-year-old Todd Anderson of Owatonna. Anderson was taken to St. Mary's Hospital with life-threatening injuries. His passenger 67-year-old Allison Anderson of Owatonna died in the accident.

Siddiq and a passenger 28-year-old Abdisalam Hashi Hassan of Oakdale suffered no apparent injuries.

The accident occurred just before 5 pm on Saturday in Havana Township near Mile Post 182.
