Strong Wind Pushes Huge Ice 'Glaciers' Off of Mille Lacs [Watch]

Believe it or not, this photo is of the shoreline on Lake Mille Lacs from April 20th, 2020.

Steven Johnson shared a series of photos and videos from the windy day at the lake on Facebook. Ice is seen heaping up on the shoreline and being pushed into the yard, and even up onto the deck of the house.

The east side of the lake seems to be there this footage was taken. In the comments videos were shared of another 'glacier' coming off of the lake back in 2013. It is amazing and terrifying how fast the ice comes across yards and pushes up against lake homes.

Ice of this magnitude is scary and can cause a lot of damage. Fingers crossed everyone and their property stays as safe as possible. The silver lining to a bad situation is that the ice is coming off the lake, a true sign of spring.
