Good news for fans of the groups Styx, Cheap Trick, and .38 Special. All three groups according to a press release from the Lakefront Music Festival have agreed to come back in 2021 after the festival was canceled due to COVID-19.

The press release from the Lakefront Music Festival states:

"Organizers of Lakefront Music Fest have confirmed the artists for the postponed event. Styx will headline Friday, July 9th with .38 Special and Cheap Trick on stage earlier that night. Country superstar group Lady A will headline Saturday, July 10th with Jake Owen and Noah Guthrie also performing that night. Prior to the COVID 19 pandemic, the organizers of Lakefront Music Fest were planning their annual event with one of the best lineups ever in 2020. Now fans can remain excited about the 2-day festival, just need to wait a year."

If you are interested in purchasing tickets to the show they will be on sale this fall. For on-sale ticket date updates and more information head here.

As for the history of the event, it was created by and produced by the Prior Lake Rotary Club. The Rotary shares ticket sales from the festival with non-profit organizations including YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities, and Prior Lake-Savage Area Schools’: Laker Athletic Booster Club (LABC), Patrons of the Arts and Activities (PAA) and Parents, Teachers and Children (PTC).
