This is what I was looking at late Saturday afternoon when I was combining beans. I am not sure why the beans were so dusty this year but that is more dust than I have ever seen before. Sometimes when you are combining after dark the dust will reflect in the lights and make it tough to see but this was during the afternoon. You can see the windshield wiper on the left and if you look closely you can see the black rails on the combine bean head.

I sure was happy the automatic header height control was working. It made me wish I had the hands free guidance system on the combine so I would not have to worry about driving the combine and staying on the rows! I was thankful for the combine cab and air conditioner! It made me think about previous generations of farmers that sat on combines with goggles and a mask on to breath!
