If you are like me, then you too hate the hot humid weather. I've never liked all the humidity, my perfect place in the whole world is a desert state like Arizona, Texas, Nevada, and or New Mexico. Much to my delight Minnesota is heading for a cool down beginning on Monday next week with daily highs making it into the low to mid-70s. Refreshing!

According to the National Weather Services' Weather Prediction Center, Minnesota and a large chunk of the midwest is going to be cooling off just in time for the calendar to turn over to September.

The changes begin to take affect beginning tomorrow where we are looking at highs in the low 80s. By Saturday, the Weather Prediction Center has much of Minnesota in the 70s, and by next Tuesday we could see morning lows in the upper 40s to low 50s and daily highs in the low to mid-70s.

On top of the cool down, there isn't a lot of precipitation either in the upcoming forecast. Outside of Thursday night into Friday morning and Monday, it looks to be cooler, and very pleasant to be outdoors.

The cooler weather shift often signifies the beginning of seeing fall colors in the land of 10,000 leaves. The Minnesota DNR much to my surprise already has their fall color finder up and running with extreme NE Minnesota showing signs of fall already.

Also, the cooler weather will usher in my favorite time of the year, duck, and goose hunting. The phrase 'ducks on the pond' takes on a whole new meaning to me in the fall as opposed to the summer.

Here is another fall activity you can enjoy...apple orchards.
