After quite a bit of rain recently, it looks like the skies have cleared up and it's safe to put the umbrellas away for the weekend. Temps are still relatively warm making it perfect to get out and enjoy all that the great outdoors has to offer, as well as check out the some of the great events going on in the area.

Here in Faribault, we are fortunate to have the River Bend Nature Center located within city limits. It is a gorgeous area with more than 700 acres of land that can be roamed on well maintained trails, river views and educational programs. Last Friday night, downtown Faribault was filled with four blocks of fantastic vehicles for the Faribault Main Street Car Cruise and Car Club Showdown. It was the final and biggest event of the summer and drew a large crowd and an amazing array of vehicles! In total there were 204 cars in attendance on a beautiful Friday evening!
We have a brief reprieve from the rain that seems to have been dampening, literally and figuratively, many of our weekends and outdoor fun as of late. With the rains holding off, and Friday afternoon here, that means its time to switch into weekend mode and find some fun. Luckily, there is no shortage of great things to do in our area this weekend!
