On Wednesday at around 4 pm Rice County Authorities responded to a personal injury crash involving an ATV on Elmore Avenue just south of 57th St. West in Webster Township.
Sheriff Dunn says some fishing gear and electronics were taken which is a reminder to take your valuables with you, "It's unfortunate we have to do that," Dunn said and added "We have no leads at this time." He pointed out through his many years of experience he has noticed, "The locked fish houses kind of attracts you as a target that there might be valuables in there."
Antonio Levell Washington was charged in November with selling heroin and with five counts of violating an order for protection. He is known to authorities as a major source of heroin in Rice County. He was out on bail and approached his female victim, the same one he has the order of protection violations with, asked her for some things and a key so he could stay at her home.
The Rice County Salvation Army has a goal to raise $50,000. A goal that fell a little bit short last year. Ed and Gina Little were on AM Minnesota Last week to talk about the campaign.
Rice County Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched at 6:55 p.m. to a farm in Wheeling Township south of Nerstrand on the report of a missing child. 4 year old Sawyer Hanson was last seen in his yard at 6:25 p.m. The yard borders a corn field.
