Time for a Throwback Thursday. Last year we had a great time chatting with Kelly and Rick Dale of Rick's Restoration and History Channel stars. The restored Tilt-a-Whirl is back on Central Avenue for the summer, so don't forget to snap a picture in it.

KDHL has been serving southern Minnesota since 1948, and through that time there are countless stories from within the walls and from listeners. I love finding pieces of KDHL and Power 96 history and from time to time will share pieces of that history.

Last year at the Rice County Fair, KDHL's Jerry Groskreutz was challenged to a lawn mower race by Sheriff Troy Dunn. But even before the races, Jerry was already taking a mower of a very different variety! Watch as Jerry tries out a one of a kind pedal power mower!

I love finding pieces of KDHL and Power 96 history and sharing them with our listeners! KDHL is well known as a source for news and information you need, and historically this holds true as well.

The sun is shining today, but two years ago it was a different story. People throughout the area woke up to see a beautiful, but rather unwelcome snowfall blanket the trees, grass and roads. We tend to think that by the end of April spring and warm weather should be the norm, but Minnesota weather doesn't always agree.

Last week I got a chance to go to the grand opening of the campus expansion at South Central College.  I got my general education credits at South Central, before transferring to the University of Minnesota Morris. I had a blast at Morris, and for Throwback Thursday, thought I would share a picture of my UMM days!
