10 Things You Didn’t Know About Mike

Here's 10 things you probably don't know about me:

1. Duluth is my favorite city in Minnesota to visit. I love spending time in Canal Park and eating at some of the joints in the area, walking downtown or along the lake and checking out some of the tourist attractions. Plus there's so much to see and do within driving distance.
2. I'm lactose intolerant. Which sucks because I really like Dairy Queen Blizzards, but they don't like me.
3. The first 45 record I ever purchased was C.W. McCall's Convoy. My best friend and I picked it up at Eastmans and biked back to his place to listen to it on their stereo.
4. I love watching Cops. I don't know why I like it so much, but I have learned that you should never run from the police. They are going to catch you and they're not going to be happy. Just pull over and face the music.
5. I'm a little OCD about numbers. I prefer if things end in an even number or in multiples of five like 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and so on.
6. When I was first married, my wife and I would spend hours playing Ms. Pacman at the Truck Stop, later to be replaced by Q-bert. Now I don't play video games at all. Okay, that's a lie, I occasionally help my granddaughter get through some harder areas in Sonic on the Wii.
7. I've lived here all my life and never gone ice fishing.
8. Rick and Morty is one of my favorite shows. My oldest son turned me on to this animated show. It's not for everyone, it's lewd, crude and rude and its humor is right up my alley.
9. I'm a meat and potatoes guy. I like my food identifiable, you can keep your fancy, small proportion, overpriced, hard-to-pronounce meals for yourself. I'll take a ribeye, a baked potato, veggies and a salad over that any day.
10. When I was a kid, I would play DJ with my brother and sisters and neighborhood friends. We would play my Mom's old 45's on her portable record player and record our shows on my cassette recorder.  I still have a few tapes of those shows that I dig out and listen to whenever I need good a laugh.
