THC Beer Now Available at Brewery in Southeast Minnesota
Remember a few months ago when the people in charge of laws in Minnesota passed one that allows gummies and beverages to have small amounts of THC in them? Yep, that really happened and some are saying it was an accident. That happy little accident is now helping companies make money, including a brewery in Rochester, Minnesota.
Southeast Minnesota Brewery Now Selling THC Beer
Last week, Little Thistle Brewing Co. in Rochester, Minnesota put a post up on social media that got quite a bit of attention. They broke the news to the world that they now had a non-alcoholic beer for sale that had "5 mg of hemp derived THC per can".
Yes, they are now selling beer with THC in it. In fact, they made 420 cans to start. IYKYK

I've been sitting in a radio studio all day today so I haven't had a chance to get over to Little Thistle to chat with them but I did see a few bits of info about the new THC beer that I thought I'd pass along.
Q. How big are the cans?
A. 8 oz.
Q. Where can I buy these?
Q. How much are they?
A. $6 a can.
When Did Minnesota Legalize Selling THC Products?
According to a story posted by Rochester's News-Talk KROC 1340 AM and 96.9 FM on June 29th, 2022, the new law that went into effect July 1st, 2022 indicates that beverages "may not contain more than 5 mg of THC per serving or more than 50 mg per package".
As far as "accident", it seems like our lawmakers got a bit confused when this law was in the works. I can't stand politics so reading about what happens was like fingers on a chalkboard for me but if you like that sort of thing, you can read a little bit about the "accident" at vice.com.
