Three Minnesota Music Venues Named Some of the Best in the U.S.
I don't know about you, but music has always been an important part of my life. My mom took me to my first concert at the age of four and now going to concerts is my favorite thing to do. I love going to concerts because each venue and artist brings something new to the music table. According to Bring Me the News, three Minnesota concert venues were named some of the best in the United States.
The first venue on the list was Dakota. The article says it opened in 1985 and has made the "Worlds Greatest Jazz Venues" list for over the past 25 years. This Twin City attraction has quite the setup, which is one of the many reasons that it was recognized.
Also finding its name on the "Worlds Greatest Jazz Venues" was Crooners. This is a fairly new venue in the land of ten thousand lakes. Crooners is located on the Northeast side of Minneapolis and opened in 2014. The venue has received recognition from many organizations for its atmosphere.
Now lets shift gears a little bit and look at a venue that made the "9 Coolest Concert Venues in the U.S." list. First Avenue in Minneapolis is the club that received the top marks. It opened in 1970 and has had many big-name artist's play there. On average... it will host 200 concerts a year. According to their website, First Avenue is "one of the longest-running independently owned and operated clubs in the United State."
Minnesota isn't lacking when it comes to places to go see concerts. Where is your favorite venue? Let us know inside the station app.
