A week ago we learned that Toys 'R' Us was preparing to close down all 735 of its U.S. stores nationwide. Yesterday several national publications reported that the company's liquidation sale would begin Thursday. It was reported that the initial sale would be 25% everything with markdowns continuing every week. Then liquidators would be called in to sell everything that remains on store shelves on May 14th.

Unfortunately, the sales have been delayed everywhere. A person familiar with the matter told NBC Washington that the liquidation sales were were delayed due to unforeseen circumstances and were likely to start today.
