The Faribault Falcons finished their football year with losses against only state ranked teams.  Stewartville, Kasson-Mantorville, Mankato East and Hutchinson.

Two of those teams are playing in the Prep Bowl next weekend at US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

The Hutchinson Tigers roared over the Orono Spartans 36-6 today and will play the Kasson-Mantorville KoMets next weekend for the Class 4A title.

The Tigers led 22-0 at the half and never looked back in a domination of the Spartans.

Hutchinson imposed their will on Orono amassing 332 yard rushing to 49 yards.  The Tigers had 59 runs to 16 for Orono.  First downs were 24 to 6.

The Spartans tallied 53 yards passing while Hutchinson had 29 yards making the total offense 361 to 102 in favor of the Tigers in the game.

Hutchinson had 3 running backs collect 80 yards or more in the game led by Andrew Ladwig (5'9, 175, Jr.) with 138 yards on 21 carries, one score, longest run 31 yards. Alex Elliot (6'2, 180, Jr.) added 82 yards on 14 carries, 2 TD's, 15 yards longest, Levi Teetzel (6'0, 190, Jr,) 80 yards on 17 carries, a score, longest 16 yards.

Tigers quarterback Colin Nagel (6'3, 230, Sr.) threw just 3 passes completing one to his team for a touchdown and throwing one to the Orono team.  Samuel Rensch (6'6, 210, Sr.) scored on a 29 yard TD pass for the second touchdown of the game.

8 different receivers caught balls from quarterback Charlie Kraus (6'0, 180, Jr.) for the Spartans who was 6 of 14 for 53 yards and a interception.

The Tigers had no punts in the game going 9 of 12 on third down conversions, 2 for 2 on fourth down conversions.  Orono was 3 of 7 on third down and 0 for 1 on 4th down conversion tries.

Hutchinson had the ball 43:21 while Orono finished with 16:39 of ball possession time.

The Tigers will play Kasson-Mantorville 4:30 p.m. Friday, November 26th in the Prep Bowl at US Bank Stadium in downtown Minneapolis.

The Falcons lost to Kasson-Mantorville 42-41 during the regular season at Kasson and fell to Hutchinson in the Section 2 Class 4A title game at Hutch 46-12.

Orono finished their season 6-7.  The Tigers are 12-1 going into the Prep Bowl against the KoMets 9-3.
