Two Minnesota Twins Players Were ‘Up In Smoke’ Yesterday Afternoon
Is there a better day in Major League Baseball than 'Rookie Dress-Up Day'? Well, maybe the day your team wins the World Series. Yesterday was the Minnesota Twins' dress-up day for rookies and it did not disappoint. One buddy costume got my attention on Twitter as the costume was an ode to a comedic duo who were before there time, and the costume was pretty spot-on as the rookie players went up in smoke for the last road trip of the regular season. I present to you the Minnesota Twins version of Cheech and Chong.
Willians Astudillo and Luis Arraez went about rookie dress-up day the right way with this homage to two great Latin comedians Cheech Marin and Tommy Chong. This was of course just the beginning. Even some veterans were made apart of the action. The theme for the Twins must have been movies as the costumes all revolved around films like Aladdin, Happy Gilmore, Super Troopers, Step Brothers, and Dodgeball.
Even some coaches were apart of the annual hazing that takes place in Major League Baseball. The Twins, of course, clinched the Central on Wednesday night and will wait to see who they play next Friday, although it's more than likely going to be the New York Yankees.
