Underground Fire Knocks Out Power In Red Wing
An underground fire late Thursday morning knocked out power to most of Red Wing and was expected to be out until late afternoon.
The Minnesota Department of Transportation reported that traffic signals at state highway intersections in the city are not working and that motorists should proceed with caution.
Over 7,000 customers of Xcel Energy are reported without power. And area schools were going to close 90 minutes early.
According to the City Website, the Fire Department has cleared the scene on 5th Street near Colville School.
