I'm not sure if you knew this or not but the Olympics are going on in Tokyo right now, and there is a Southern Minnesota/Faribault connection to these Olympics. Well actually there's a Morristown connection too, as our good friend Jamie Jensen's cousin, Karissa Schweizer, is also the granddaughter of Leonard and Pat Petricka, and the daughter of Faribault High School grad Kathy (Kathleen). So how can you virtually cheer Karissa on as she runs for the gold? Here are the times and channels that you can watch her on beginning early tomorrow morning.

The times for Karissa to be racing in the 5000m prelims are tomorrow July 30th, at either 5am or 5:26am on NBC's Peacock App or NBCOLYMPICS.com (note that you will have to sign-up to access either of these options). Depending on how she does, and we all are hoping that she does very well, the 5000m finals will be on August 2nd at 7:40am on either Peacock or the NBC Olympic page.

Karissa's final event, the 10,000m finals in which she will be in, will be on August 7th at 5:45am on the same two streaming and viewing options, so Peacock or NBC Olympic's website.

So plan to set that alarm earlier than normal, open up the app or head to your streaming device and root on the Southern Minnesota connection on her quest for gold at this year's Olympics!
