Being a public figure has to be tough. Everything you do is often watched and maybe scrutinized. That's why I'm in radio. Fox 9 meteorologist Jennifer McDermed recently had a moment on Friday that she might not live down anytime soon that involved a bug flying at the lens of a camera while she was giving the forecast.

Here is Jennifer giving the viewers of Fox 9 at 5pm their forecast:

To be fair, the bug, maybe a wasp, flew up at the camera, seemingly out of nowhere. The experience then derailed the next 15 to 20 seconds of the forecast, and in TV that's probably not the best thing that can happen.

She did manage to get back to the forecast, but only after we found out her fear of spiders. You can't tell me someone in the office didn't write that one down for April Fools.
