The Class A #2 ranked Waterville-Elysian-Morristown Buccaneers swept the #5 Class AA Concordia Academy of Roseville tonight in Waterville.  The match was very entertaining for the crowd gathered in the W-E-M gym with scores of  25-21, 28-26, 25-15.

The win comes after the Buccaneers won the Cannon Falls Tournament Saturday by going 5-0 in matches without dropping a single set.  Head Coach Crystal Lamont is proud of the steps forward her team has taken throughout the season.

WEM has a 26-2 record.  Concordia Academy dropped to 16-4 with the loss.

The Buccaneers featured a very balanced attack.  Trista Herring with 11 kills and a .471 attack percentage.  Kylie Pittman with 11 kills while hitting .300 and Delaney Donhue had 11 kills with an attack percentage of .225.  Toryn Richards added 9 kills while hitting .152.

Ellie Ready had 35 set assists.  Richards 20 digs, Pittman and Donahue 14 digs each.

The serve receive of Waterville-Elysian-Morristown has been exceptional lately and tonight was no different with just 1 serve receive error.  The Buccaneers were also a perfect 44 of 44 in set assists.

I think the Buccaneers wish the playoffs were starting this week.
