What is Nature Illuminated?

Nature Illuminated is a magical narrated journey through brilliant, oversized animal light displays. During your adventure, you'll see all different kinds of spectacular visuals. 

These larger-than-life animals are all Minnesota-made, and I can easily say the pictures don't do the animals justice.

To see how the inflatables are created, head to the Minnesota Zoo website. The process is tedious (and fascinating).

Below you can see the complete exhibit map. The tour path is 3/4th of a mile. Visitors can expect to spend about 30 minutes enjoying the sights.

Unlike past years, this winter, there are two ways to enjoy this Minnesota Zoo experience. You can participate in the driving tour, which runs until January 2nd, or you can bundle up and brave the winter air for the walking tour that starts January 6th and runs through January 16th.

Those with interest can purchase tickets online. However, in partnership with the Minnesota Zoo, KRFO will be giving away four driving tickets on our Facebook page. To enter, head on over to our page and comment a screenshot of your station app. It is that simple! 

We will be announcing winners on Friday, December 17th, at 8 am. Each driving ticket is per vehicle. In other words, the ticket guarantees entry for each passenger with a proper seat belt and seat.
