I guess they have named the weather front that is coming our way, Dorothy. If you are out driving in what is expected to be windy and snowy conditions tonight you too will be saying there's no place like home. Residents can expect to start to see the snow begin around 7-8p tonight according to a snow time tweet sent out by the National Weather Service this morning.

The National Weather Service in the Twin Cities this morning tweeted out the latest information on Dorothy and it's expected to arrive a little later than previously thought.

The Twin Cities is predicted to start seeing snow around 9pm, which puts the Faribault and Owatonna areas in line with seeing snowflakes between 7-8pm.

Right now a majority of the state is in a Winter Storm Warning from 6pm tonight through Noon on Wednesday. According to the National Weather Service the area between Fairmont, through Mankato, the Twin Cities, and Rice Lake, Wisconsin is expecting 9-12 inches of snow to fall. As far as what will follow this winter storm, the National Weather Service in the Twin Cities isn't certain as to what we will or won't get.
