If you're looking for something fun to do with the family this afternoon, then load up the car and head to the River Bend Nature Center for their annual WinterFest celebration from 1-4PM.

Some of the family fun WinterFest activities include horse-drawn sleigh (or wagon) rides through the prairie, live animals (inside), crafts, winter-themed games, blizzard mini golf, sledding (make sure to bring your own sled), and snowshoe clinics. The St. Olaf College Hill Harmonics choral group will back to entertain WinterFest goers with a cappella carols at different locations between 2PM and 3PM. The friendly goats from Goat Dispatch will also be there.

Admission to WinterFest is only $7 per person (limit $25/family) or $5 per River Bend member (limit $20/member family). The admission fee includes all event activities, plus fresh-popped popcorn, s’mores to cook on the campfire, and a seasonal beverage, like cocoa or cider. Learn more about WinterFest on River Bend’s website.
