Faribault Main Street announced yesterday they have rescheduled the Winterfest Parade and fireworks for Friday, December 14th.  The fireworks will be enjoyed at 5:30 p.m. followed by the parade.  We will get more details on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program because it is our Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism show.

Last Saturday the Winterfest events were wintered out by the snowstorm that struck the area.  Thursday there was a decorating contest in downtown Faribault and Santa rode on a City of Faribault fire truck with Mayor Kevin Voracek.  There were also horse drawn wagon rides and scores of people watched the Sakatah Carvers and Signs and Creations craft a sculpture from a block of ice.

The group Due North provided caroling along Central Avenue.  Friday was Teen Night with an open gym and swim at the Faribault Community Center.  We're curious to know how turnout was for the special event for teens.

Also on Saturday a street dance had been scheduled and was cancelled.  The dance is not being rescheduled.
