The Steele County Free Fair has been canceled until 2021. The decision was made Wednesday night.

According to the press release sent out by the SCFF Manager, Scott Kozelka, it states, "Unfortunately, we've not been able to identify a plan that would allow us to move forward with our fair while also following the guidance and recommendations that have been pit into place to keep out communities safe."

The SCFF has been carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation from the beginning in hope of being able to hold the fair. Every year, the SCFF sees thousands of visitors from all over the state. According to Scott Kozelka, he will be in contact with vendors, sponsors, and event organizers over then next few weeks to discuss their plans moving forward.

The Steele County Free Fair is the largest fair outside of the Minnesota State Fair.
