Adoptable Pet: Wishing For A Home; Meet Dolly The Cat
Dolly likes the simple things in life. A warm place to lay her head, a laid-back home environment, and if she had thumbs I believe she'd like to thumb through the paper on a Sunday morning. Dolly is this week's adoptable pet, and she is looking to get back into a home after her former owners had to give her up due to their aging. It's a sad thing to happen for both parties, but maybe we can introduce Dolly to another family looking to add a pet like Dolly, a 10-ish-year-old cat, that enjoys the quiet home life.
My friend Michaela told me that Dolly was surrendered to the Austin City Pound, but came to the Mower County Humane Society shortly after being there.
Here is what Michaela told me about Dolly;
Dolly "lived her past life in a couple of homes with older parents who had to give her up due to the unfortunate effects of aging and being unable to care for her." Dolly is wishing this holiday season "for a human companion to live out her golden years with." Dolly, as I mentioned earlier, would be "most comfortable in a calmer home environment with adults as she was accustomed to."
Michaela has spent some time with Dolly when she visits the shelter and said that Dolly "is a sweet girl who would love to keep another loving lap warm again and out of the shelter."
For $50 you can adopt Dolly, you can start the process here by filling out an online application as the shelter is currently an appointment only facility due to COVID-19.
