Advisory Issued About Warmer Weather In Southeast Minnesota
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The National Weather Service has issued an advisory about an expected uptick in the warm weather that has been in southeast Minnesota all week.
It is expected to be more humid Thursday and Friday and this could result in very uncomfortable heat index readings that could reach 95 - 105 degrees.
The NWS says “This prolonged period of heat and humidity can significantly increase the potential for heat-related illnesses, especially for those working or participating in activities outdoors.”
Air temperatures are expected to rise to near 95 degrees.
And for the first time this month, rain could fall across parts of the region during the day and evening on Friday.
It appears above-average temperatures will continue into next week.
