Application Fees to be Waived at Rochester Area Colleges
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- Prospective students will soon be able to apply for free at several colleges and universities in the Rochester area and across Minnesota.
Application fees at Rochester Community and Technical College, Riverland Community College, Winona State University and 30 other higher learning institutions across Minnesota will be waived throughout the month of October. The free applications are part of “Minnesota State Month.”
“The colleges and universities of Minnesota State offer an extraordinary educational experience and the lowest tuition and fees of all public or private higher education options in the state,” said Devinder Malhotra, chancellor of Minnesota State. “We are proud to take this exceptional value a step further by waiving the fee our colleges and universities normally charge when students apply for admission for the entire month of October – Minnesota State Month.”
A news release from the Minnesota State College System indicates it’s the first time application fees have been waived at all 33 of the system’s schools. Those interested in applying for admission into a Minnesota State College can fill out an online application that allows the applicant to apply at one or several schools at the same time.
