Authorities Release Names Involved In Fatal Wreck In Fillmore County
Mabel, MN (KROC-AM News) - The Minnesota State Patrol has released the names of those involved in a fatal wreck that happened on New Years Day in Mabel, Minnesota.
The State Patrol reports that 17-year-old Dylan Delaney of Mabel was killed in the wreck on Highway 44. The driver of the vehicle, 19-year-old Lauren Bedard of Houston, was transported to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse with life-threatening injuries. A second 17-year-old passenger was injured in the wreck, but his name and condition were not released. He was transported to Gundersen Lutheran Hospital.
The crash occurred New Years Day around 10:20 am as a Toyota Corolla was traveling northbound on Lyndale Street in Mabel and was attempting a left turn onto Highway 44 to go west. A semi that was traveling eastbound on Highway 44. The vehicles collided in the intersection.
The driver of the semi, 50-year-old Perry Omodt of Rushford, was not injured in the wreck.
