The Faribault Bethlehem Academy Cardinals were the home team in a game at Maple River Saturday and finished with a walk-off 5-4 victory.  Trailing 4-3 going to the bottom of the 7th inning freshman Aiden Tobin opened the inning for the Cardinals with a walk.  Junior Spencer Ell popped out.  Tobin stole second.  Junior Josh Oathhoudt smacked a double scoring Tobin to tie the game.  On the first pitch he saw senior Zach Van Thomme hammered a double to score Oathoudt and Bethlehem Academy jumped on the bus in Mapleton with a walk-off win.

Maple River opened the scoring with 2 runs in the top of the first inning and added another run in the second inning off Cardinals starter Zach Van Thomme.  Bethlehem Academy answered with a 3 run second inning to tie the game.  The Eagles scored a run in the 5th to take the lead into the bottom of the 7th before the Cardinals winning rally.

Van Thomme pitched to every Maple River batter except the last due to the pitch count rule.  Oathoudt threw four pitches to retire the final Eagles batter of the top of the 7th inning.  Van Thomme gave up 6 hits, 4 runs, 3 earned runs, struck out 5, walked 6.

Bethlehem Academy tied the game with 3 runs in the bottom of the second.  Senior Kyle Kohl opened the inning with a single to left field.  Junior Jack Jandro and sophomore J.J. Malecha each had walks to load the bases.  Sophomore Bo Dienst cracked an RBI single.  Sophomore Kade Robb grounded into a fielder's choice scoring Jandro.  Aiden Tobin had a RBI single.  Spencer Ell was walked to load the bases.  Oathoudt hit into a fielder's choice with a force out at home.  The inning ended with a pop out.

Bethlehem Academy is at Blooming Prairie for a doubleheader Tuesday.  First pitch for first game is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
