The NFL opens up tomorrow night with the Kansas City Chiefs hosting the Houston Texans. I know some people have sworn off watching the NFL this year, but I for one am very excited to have my purple Friday's and victory Monday's back. Although if the 'experts' are right only the cheeseheads will be celebrating Monday Sept 14th. While the Vikings are favored by 2.5 points, you generally get 3 points just for playing at home, several websites have picked the green and gold to leave US Bank Stadium with a win Sunday afternoon.

We will start off with SportingNews.com, Tadd Haislop, writes this about the Vikings/Green Bay match-up:

Many were bothered by how the Packers handled their roster in the offseason. But even with Jordan Love in the picture, as long as Aaron Rodgers is playing quarterback, Green Bay's offense will be a problem for opposing teams. Of course, the Vikings are uniquely equipped to give the Packers issues, too. This one will be as close as the odds suggest.

Pick: Packers 27, Vikings 23

Next up we have CBSSports.com's John Breech who references Aaron Rodgers and his four fingers of tequila after the Pack drafted QB Jordan Love in this year's NFL draft. Breech has this to say about this weekend's fanless border battle:

Not only am I going to pick the Packers here, but I'm also predicting that Rodgers drinks seven fingers of tequila after the game to celebrate the win. On a somewhat related note, I drank seven fingers of tequila once in college and I got so drunk that I now have a pile of rocks sitting on my porch so I can count down the days until I die, just like Kirk Cousins.

The pick: Packers 20-17 over Vikings

I did manage to find one website today that gave SKOL-nation the win on Sunday. Sportsnaut.com likes the Vikings chances come Sunday. Writer Vincent Frank says:

Pro Bowler Dalvin Cook will be taking on a Packers defense that ranked in the bottom 10 against the run last season. While Aaron Rodgers still has the advantage over Kirk Cousins, look for this one aspect of the game to be a difference maker. Week 1 NFL predictions: Vikings 27, Packers 24

Either way, the game looks to be one of the better match-ups in week one of the NFL season. But Vikings fans said that about the match-up with the 49ers last year, the Eagles, the Giants...

My prediction for Sunday? Green Bay 24 Vikings 31 and 7-fingers of tequila for me after the win.
