BOLD Pitcher Throws One Hitter at Target Field
BOLD (Bird Island-Olivia-Lake Lillian-Danube) junior Jordan Sagedahl had a dream game today at Target Field in Minneapolis. The right handed pitcher threw a one hitter, had 3 of the team's 10 hits including an inside the park home run. The Class A top seed Warriors captured the title with a no doubt 8-0 win over New York Mills.
Bold was runner-up last fall in football and used a 6 run sixth inning to put the Eagles away. The Warriors scored a run in the 4th and run in the 5th innings before their eruption. Sagedahl walked 3 batters, struck out 9, had a wild pitch while facing 26 batters.
Sagedahl was the only BOLD player to have multiple hits in the game. Designated hitter Zeke Walton had a double and so did pinch hitter Blake Fann for the Warriors.
The only hit for New York Mills was a lead single in the top of the 7th inning. The Eagles ended their season 21-5.
Class A State Champion BOLD finishes with a 20-5 record.
