If you want to see a show featuring Buddy Holly music this Saturday only solo tickets and overflow seating is available.  Paradise Center for the Arts Executive Director Kristin Twitchell braved the snow and was in studio for AM Minnesota today.  Gary Rue joined us on the phone from his home.  Rue has done a couple of Beatles shows and will play the first set Saturday featuring classic songs and stories from the Gene Pitney catalog.

Rue was Pitney's music director, arranger and duet partner for 20 years.  Hello Mary Lou, Love is All Around, and I Fought the Law to name a few.  The second set will feature cast members from the Minnesota History Theatre's IVEY Award winning production of Buddy:The Buddy Holly Story, performing all the Holly hits.  This show was seen by members of The Crickets and they said it was the best show featuring their music they had seen.

February 3rd marks the 60th anniversary of the tragic plane crash in Iowa that took the lives of Holly, Richie Valens and The Big Bopper.  The music lives on and can be enjoyed this Saturday at the Paradise Center for the Arts in downtown Faribault.

Songs like, That'll Be the Day, Peggy Sue,Words of Love,  Rave On, Maybe Baby, Not Fade Away, Heartbeat, Everyday, and Oh Boy.

The program can be heard here if you didn't have time to listen at 9:30 a.m.
