Members of the Cannon Valley Players all-male theater troupe are back after it appeared they were going to discontinue their annual fundraising productions.  Last season was believed to be their last after a 15 year run but a number of the guys said they couldn't walk away because the funds do so much good in the Morristown area.

Today, tomorrow and Sunday they will be performing two short plays at the Morristown Community Center.  Doors open 5:30 p.m. this evening and tomorrow night and 12:30 p.m. Sunday afternoon.  Performances are 7:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.

Full concessions will be available with ticket prices $10 for adults, $7 for seniors/students and $3 for those 10 and undfer.

The two plays being performed by the men in both women's and men's roles are A Walk in the Woods and The Entire American Revolution in 40 Minutes or Less.

We visited with many members of the cast on AM Minnesota Thursday at the Morristown Community Center.

All proceeds are donated to various local organizations.  There are 26 people in the cast.

A Walk in the Woods by Debbie Metzler tells the tales of Goldilocks, the Three Bears, Red Riding Hood, the Three Pigs and Hansel and Gretel all blended into one delightful play staying true to the original stories.

The Entire American Revolution in 40 Minutes or Less by Eddie McPherson provides history has it's never been seen.  Flying through the major points of America's quest for independence, this fast-and-loose comedy plays like a highlight reel of history in hilarious fashion.  The audience will laugh and learn from patriots like George Washington, Paul Revere, Samuel and John Adams, Patrick Henry and Benjamin Franklin has they battle the vain King George III and the British soldiers.
