Did you celebrate yesterday with a cold one? It was National Beer Day. Yup, it's a real thing. The Cullen-Harrison Act, which marked the beginning of the end of Prohibition in the United States, was enacted on April 7, 1933. National Beer Day has been celebrated since 2009!

Here are some of the best places in Rochester to grab a brew!

Growlers to go, bring your own food and plenty of space for games. What's not to love? This new space is a hidden gem just off 19th Street and offer amazing beers like the IPA Hallucination and even create their own craft sodas. Food trucks will be making their way when the weather gets warmer.

I love the atmosphere here! Their beers are amazing and so is the food! This place is deceivingly large, but it's divided into 4-5 different unique spaces for any group.  One of my favorite brews is the Jumanji Juice. It's a sour beer brewed with locally sourced hybrid apricots and mixed grains. Delish!

Mix it up with a little loon juice! I'll admit I went there for wine and fell in love with this cider. It's the closest I really get to beer! Not only can you get it here, they carry in many local liquor stores! The Ginger Mojito is by far my favorite and is so refreshing.

If it wasn't freezing temps I'd say head to the rooftop but for now, just stop in an enjoy a Fulton Lonely Blonde or the Toppling Goliath. If you can't decide, grab a flight and taste a variety! They are also a prime spot for music.

This a great place for any beer in the world, literally. They have a collection of hundreds. One of my favorites is the Well's Banana Bread beer. Yum! If Beer isn't your thing, their Bloody Mary is amazing and is on special today for $2.50!

NEW BREWERY COMING SOON! Little Thistle Brewing Company is working on its space as we speak and is looking forward to opening this summer. They will have a game room with shuffleboard and video games, an outdoor space with games, and fun family-focused programming PLUS it will be dog-friendlyYou heard it here first!
