COVID Vaccine Clinics Coming to Morristown & Lonsdale
Rice County Public Health announced today they are hosting a COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic Wednesday, May 19th 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Lonsdale American Legion.
A Vaccination Clinic in Morristown Tuesday, May 18th from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. is at the Community Center.
The following News Release announcing the Lonsdale clinic was released.
"Vaccine available for those 12 years and older. Openings available. Rice County Public Health is offering a COVID-19 vaccination clinic Wednesday, May 19th at the American Legion,115 2nd Avenue NW, Lonsdale MN.
Pfizer vaccine will be available, which was recently authorized for use by the FDA in adolescents ages 12 through 15 years old. Previously the vaccine had been authorized for those ages 16 years and older. Adolescents under 18 years old must be pre-registered with parent permission and it is strongly preferred that they be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
In addition to Pfizer vaccine, Janssen (Johnson &Johnson) vaccine will also be available at this clinic. Registration is available by clicking the links. Pfizer for 12 years and older and Janssen for 18 years and older.
Pre-registration is strongly encouraged but some walk-in appointments will be available. The registration link to make an appointment can be found on the Rice County Public Health website.
Both Moderna and Janssen (Johnson a& Johnson-one dose) will be available at the Morristown clinic. 18 years and older.
