This morning at 11:30 Faribault Parks and Recreation, along with members of Faribault's Police Department, the Rice County Sheriff's Office, Faribault Fire Department, Faribault Public Schools, and Bethlehem Academy and other local partners staged a community parade to help lift residents spirits.

The route began at Faribault High School's parking lot and ran to the Country Club on the other side of town, all the while snaking through residential neighborhoods. I counted 22 vehicles taking part in this community parade.

 

There were plenty of vehicles parked near the area I was at in town. Children waved flags, and people honked their horns in appreciation of those in the parade.
