Dodge County Sheriff Looking For Man Wanted For Attempted Murder

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office is looking for a wanted man. The man the Sheriff's Office is looking for is 27-year-old Rigo Eleazar Lopez Macias aka Alejandro Torres Lopez. Macias is wanted in connection with an assault that took place in rural Dodge County. Macias is considered armed and dangerous. Please call police if you have information on his whereabouts.

According to a social media post this morning from the Dodge County Sheriff's Office the near-deadly assault took place Wednesday night.

"Macias is described as a 27-year-old light-skinned Hispanic male, 6’ tall, 200 lbs. He was last seen fleeing the scene in a 2013 Gray Ford Taurus Sedan with MN License ECH680. Macias is wanted for 1st Degree Attempted Murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.

The release of information on this case to the public and media was delayed to ensure the safety of the victim, the witnesses, and the medical staff who cared for the victim prior to his being released from the hospital."

The victim has been released from St Mary’s Hospital to an undisclosed location.
