The Faribault Main Street Fall Festival Chili Cook-Off Saturday has been moved indoors due to the chilly forecast.  Main Street Program Coordinator Kelly Krage says the event will be from Noon to 3:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post 43.

You can sample over a dozen different Chilis for $5 and support the Main Street Program.  Due to COVID-19 there will be no children's parade but families are encouraged to check out the Story Book Walk downtown, the murals, the history benches.

Jeff Jarvis is also painting a new mural on the Upper East Side, Janna's Market Grill (formerly Bernie's Grill) is having an open house.  The galleries are open at the Paradise Center for the Arts downtown.

Additional safety measures will be in place for the event.  If you have experienced symptoms of COVID-19 within the last 14 days or been exposed to someone with COVID, you are asked not to attend.

Masks will not be required outside, but social distancing is encouraged.

Friday, October 2 a Car Show will be held at the American Legion beginning 5:00 p.m.

The Legion is located at 112 5th Street NE.  Food and Bar will be available.  There is no registration fee.

The 507connect and Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism is also hosting Pizza and Politics at The Inn at Shattuck-St. Mary's, 1000 Shumway Avenue in Faribault on Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

You can learn more about local, state and national candidates in the upcoming election.  The event will be available via Zoom also from Noon to 1:00 p.m.

Capacity is limited to 35 people, registration is required.
