With all the cancellations announced in recent days and weeks it's refreshing to report Fashions on Central is re-opening tomorrow (November 14, 2020) at 11:00 a.m.

The Buckham West Board of Directors approved the move according to Executive Director Mona Kaiser.

Fashions on Central is a gently-used clothing store at 325 Central Avenue in downtown Faribault.  They accept, sort, price and re-sell donated clothing with proceeds going to the operation of Buckham West (formerly the Faribault Senior Center).

The store has been closed the past month so they could fine-tune their COVID-19 safety plan.

Here are changes outlined by Kaiser in a news release from Buckham West.

  • Store schedule will now be Tuesdays and Saturdays 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Donations will be accepted during store hours.  Please limit donations to 2 bags/boxes so they can manage the sorting process in a safe matter.

Kaiser encourages, "All Buckham West members to support our organization by shopping at Fashions on Central.  Because of the pandemic restrictions, we are unable to host two of our annual year end fundraisers.  Our Bake Sale and the Holiday Pop Up Shoppe.  If you want to help us out financially, shopping at Fashions on Central is one way you can do that.  In order to encourage you to shop we are including a coupon that we hope will urge you to visit our store soon!"

"Many thanks to the store's employees, Gayle and Kathy, and the volunteers that operate the store on behalf of this organization.  Your support and enthusiasm is greatly appreciated."  Kaiser concluded.
