The City of Faribault announced on their Facebook page that beginning on Monday, July 15 that the street department will begin sealcoating area roadways leading to parking restrictions on those roads. One area that will be affected is a portion of the Central Ave corridor that runs through downtown Faribault.

According to the City of Faribault's website, the process of seal coating area streets is to "provide an improved driving surface and extend the life of the existing pavement." The street department will be placing no parking signs along the streets the night before that street will be sealcoated preventing residents from parking on the street.

The street will then be coated during the day with the road being swept up of any loose rock the following day. If your street is sealcoated on a Friday your road will then be swept clean of loose rock on Monday.
