A 34 year old Glencoe man was killed in a two vehicle accident at a Highway 19 intersection in Rice County last evening.  The accident was reported 5:24 p.m.  The Minnesota State Patrol identified the deceased, Anthony Joseph Mancino was not wearing a seat belt.  The vehicle airbag did deploy.

The State Patrol description says Mancino was westbound on Highway 19 from Lonsdale and a vehicle operated by David Ludwig Wolf, 72, of Northfield was eastbound on County Road 2 approaching Highway 19.  The vehicles collided in the intersection.

Wolf was wearing a seat belt and the vehicle airbag deployed.  He suffered no injuries according to the report.

Lonsdale Police and Fire Departments, Rice County Sheriff's Office and Northfield Ambulance all assisted at the scene.

A State Patrol Crash Reconstruction Specialist will investigate the accident to determine  how it occurred and determine which factors caused the crash.
