Here are the Coldest Wind Chills in Southern Minnesota Right Now
It's so stinking cold. That's all we're going to talk about today is how cold it is! As of writing this blog (about 9:30 AM) Faribault's wind chill is at -53F. What did we do to deserve this?!
As of 10:30 AM this morning, here is what the National Weather Service is reporting for wind chill temperatures across Southern Minnesota:
Albert Lea: -48F
Faribault: -53F
Lakeville: -47F
Mankato: -51F
Owatonna: -53F
Red Wing: -48F
Rochester: -53F
Zumbrota: -53F
It should get better throughout the day though. At 9:30 AM in Rochester the wind chill was reported at -57F and now at about 10:30 AM it's at -53F. So it's getting better, right?
Bring Me the News reports that our record wind chill low is -70F which Ely might have hit this morning. They aren't totally convinced though because their sensor has been overdoing wind speeds.
