If you've always wanted to live in a castle, this way-cool property right here in Minnesota might be right for you.

I first stumbled across this unique real estate listing several years ago when it was for sale. The bad news is that it's no longer on the market, having sold back in 2015 for the tidy sum of $750,000.  The good news is, though, we still have a glimpse inside from when it was for sale.

And, yeah, it's a castle. Think Harry Potter and Hogwarts and all of that. But this castle is right here in Minnesota, in the southeast metro. It's only about 40 miles southeast of Minneapolis, nestled right along the St. Croix River. (Google Maps shows its location to be close to Afton Alps State Park and Ski Hill.)

According to the former Realtor.com listing from Kathryn Szczepaniak with Cushman Realty, the property has 4,732 square feet, with 4 bedrooms, 4 full baths (and 1 half-bath) and is located on roughly 7 acres. Here's how they described it:

This historic home was designed by the late Ellerbe Becket and features outstanding craftsmanship & detail, from marble floors, to hand-carved woodwork, & locally quarried limestone exterior. Panoramic views, large entertaining spaces inside & out, serene setting nestled in the woods on the bluff of the scenic St. Croix River. Enjoy your own private beach, perfect for boating, swimming & entertaining.

Now if castles aren't your thing, maybe you'd like something more modern. Like, say the amazing lake house that the Twins' Carlos Correa bought earlier this spring after he signed his new, multi-million dollar deal. Or maybe former Viking ZaDarius Smith's house in Eagan. Keep scrolling to check 'em both out!

Minnesota Twins Carlos Correa's Amazing Lake House

While the Minnesota Twins were wrapping up Spring Training, newly-signed shortstop Carlos Correa was celebrating by buying a $7.5 million home on Lake Minnetonka.

Former Minnesota Viking Za'Darius Smith's Home

He only played for the Vikings for the 2022 season, but while Za'Darius Smith lived in Minnesota, he called this property in Eagan his home.
