Passengers riding around in the back of your truck bed, has to be illegal in Minnesota, right? Nope. Totally legal. You CAN be tagged for reckless driving and similar offenses while people are in the payload area, but unless you're a careless driver, you're good. And Minnesota isn't alone.

According to HardWorkingTrucks.com,

"Twenty states have no laws prohibiting passenger transport in a truck bed. They are Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Delaware, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Montana, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Vermont, Washington, West Virginia and Wyoming."

Did you notice something about that list? It includes Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota...but not Wisconsin. I'm legitimately surprised. Dangerous things like this are usually a given in Wisconsin. Like fireworks, right? But nope.

Interesting note: California does allow people to be in the back of a truck, but only under very strict circumstances. "...if the vehicle is used on a farm or in a parade where the vehicles do not exceed more than 8mph." (Source)
