Rochester Area Crash Involving Classic Car Sends Woman to Hospital
Byron, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Dodge County woman was hospitalized following a two-vehicle crash at a recently updated intersection near Rochester Saturday.
The State Patrol responded to the crash between Rochester and Byron. It happened around 4:30 p.m.
The state crash report indicates a Land Rover and a 1969 Ford Mustang collided at the intersection of County Rd. 3 and Hwy. 14. The Land Rover was turning onto Hwy. 14 from southbound County Rd. 3 and the Mustang was heading west on Hwy. 14 when the two vehicles collided.
The passenger in the mustang, identified as 61-year-old Susan Mary Pearson of Kasson, was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester with what are being described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Mustang, 68-year-old Joseph Pearson of Kasson, and Land Rover driver, 39-year-old Dan Chen of Byron, were not hurt.
Alcohol was not involved in the crash and all three people were buckled up, the report says. The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office, Byron Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance also responded to the crash.
