Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Lanesboro man is expected to face multiple felony charges including fleeing police for leading Rochester Police Officers and Olmsted County Sheriff’s Deputies on separate chases over the weekend.

The first incident was reported late Friday night when police responded to a noise complaint in the 1500 block of 3rd Avenue Northeast and the driver of a car sped away when the responding officer pointed a spotlight at the vehicle. Officials say the motorist drove through red lights and sideswiped another car on South Broadway, prompting police to break off the pursuit for safety reasons.

A vehicle matching the same description fled from Sheriff's Deputies after they went to check on suspicious activity in a Stewartville storage yard late Saturday morning. The motorist sped away toward Rochester on Highway 63, driving erratically and at high speeds, but the deputy was able to record the license plate number and get a good look at the driver before halting the chase.

The information led to the arrest of 21-year-old James Kenyon.
