Last Day of the Rice County Fair

Have you made it out to the Great Rice County Fair in Faribault yet? Today is the final day of the fair and it's packed full of fun things to do before it all winds down tonight.

The carnival rides open up at 1PM today with an unlimited ride armband special for only $25 per person and it's good until 9PM tonight.

There's lot's of free entertainment on the Cannon Stage with local performers from 12-6PM and on the Midway Stage it's the Amateur Talent Contest noon-3PM, a 4-H Fashion Review at 3PM and the 4-H Champions at 4PM.

Tonight in the Grandstand it's the Demolition Derby at 6:30PM. Get there early to cheer for your favorite local drivers because the seats fill up quickly.

Of course, in between all this fun there's bingo at 1PM, the 4-H exhibits, the animals, the business exhibits, the delicious concessions to choose from and more. By the way, some of the different foods I tried that I enjoyed were popcorn from Mom and Pop Corn (right next to the Power 96 booth), sandwiches from the Rice County Pork Producers, Old Fashioned Root Beer, Godfathers Pizza, a bacon-wrapped hot dog from Big Dog, a gyro and the required fair food: cheese curds and corn dogs.
