Let’s Play Hockey Girls Rankings Still No Faribault
Let's Play Hockey has released their latest rankings and the Big 9 Conference has no schools listed among the top 20 in girls Class 1A or 2A. The Faribault Falcons were among the state's elite a couple of times. They have been out of the rankings for a couple of weeks despite the fact the Falcons have not lost during that time. The Rochester Lourdes Eagles are rated #7 in the latest rankings.
The Eagles will be in Faribault for a early game Tuesday and it looks like the game will be for the top seed in the section. Coverage on KDHL begins 5:30 p.m. with a Falcon boys game against Dodge County to follow. That could also have Section 1A seed influence.
Faribault is 16-4. Rochester Lourdes 11-7-1.
Faribault has not played since January 10 and travels to Owatonna Saturday night for a game that will be broadcast on KDHL. Coverage begins 6:45 p.m. from Four Seasons Arena.
Olivia Williamson is second in the state in goals scored with 34 in 20 games. Kelsey King of Elk River leads the state now at 37 goals. Williamson is fourth in total points with 53. Mackenzie Bourgerie of North Wright County is on top with 58 points.
