John Dvorak Rice County Fair Manager was my guest on today's AM Minnesota program. John said there will be some type of Rice County Fair this year but what type will depend on Governor Walz. With more COVID-19 vaccine available there maybe is a good chance it could be a "normal' 2021 Rice County Fair. However, if there are still restrictions on how many people could be in the grandstand for example it would be difficult to have a normal show.

One plus is that many of the activities are outside which would likely be less restrictive than those inside. Maybe things will be opening up and masks would be required only when you are in one of the buildings? It just all depends on the status this summer. At the present time John and the Rice County Fair Board are planning on a more "normal 2021 Rice County Fair but no one knows for sure at this point.
