The Merlin Players have a show opening this weekend that should help with any cabin fever you are suffering.  "Barefoot in the Park" was written by the legendary Neil Simon and was one of his earliest comedies.

It is the story of newlyweds Paul and Corie Bratter who adjust to married life in a fifth story apartment in New York City.  They deal with crazy neighbors and an overly intrusive mother-in-law.  The result is one of Simon's funniest plays.

Artistic Director Julianna Skluzacek says Waseca native Paul Somers has the lead in the play.  "Paul works professionally as an actor but likes to return to his roots and work with us when his schedule allows," says Skluzacek.

Also appearing with him are Sydney Place Sallstrom, Susan Dunhaupt, Carter Martin, Matt Drenth and Gary Hoganson.

"Barefoot in the Park" runs February 23, 24 and March 1, 2, 3 at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 25 at 2:00 p.m. at the Paradise Center for the Arts in Faribault.

Remember you can purchase your tickets online at the Paradise Center for the Arts website www.paradisecenterforthearts.org.

Some cast members will join us on today's KDHL AM Minnesota program and reveal more details about the hilarious romantic comedy at 9:30 a.m.

If you can't tune in then, go to www.youtube.com/user/KDHLRadio and watch a videotape of the program.  It should be uploaded by mid-afternoon.
